Study Group

The regular Suomikoulu social/conversation evening will continue in 2008 in Berkhamsted and also now in St Albans. All Finnish speakers and Finnish students are welcome (you don't have to be a member of Suomikoulu to come along. The aim is to have a social gathering and allow students to practise speaking Finnish.

We had a successful first meeting in Berkhamsted on Thursday 6th December, Finnish Independence Day and the 90th anniversary of Independence. About 8 people came, we burnt blue and white candles, ate, drank, talked and a good time was had by all!

The Berkhamsted meetings will be held at the Old Mill Pub in Berkhamsted, starting around 7.30pm every 3rd Thursday of the month. The pub has a car park. Upcoming dates are:

The St Albans meeting will be held at The Goat Inn on Sopwell Lane, starting around 7.30pm, the first Wednesday of each month. There is an NCP car park round the corner. Upcoming dates are:
